Congratulations to Bing Xian, Naufal, Khalifa, Kwang Wee and Dave for winning the Silver Award for the Audio Category (Primary School level) in this year's SDMA 2010!
To the rest who had participated and did their best for their project, you guys did an awesome job but we have a very tough competition by competing with other schools in Singapore. But just so you know, they showed abit of all the videos and animations we sent during the Award Ceremony. So, I'm very proud. And you should too. Most importantly is you had experience competing under National level, and that is very good. Keep up the good work and hopefully we'll do better. :)

About F1 Participation
To: The members who wanted to join the F1 workshop.
Currently, we are still short of pupils to reach the required quantity, which is 80 pupils from the combination of Robotics Club and Infocomm Club.
Once we have enough pupils, we will pass you the consent forms to inform your parents more in details, as well as the edusave form for your parents to sign.
So, don't get too excited. Nothing's been confirmed yet. :)

Welcome to 2010.
I know this is late but Happy New Year! And an advance Happy Chinese New Year to the Chinese Infocomm members. Gong Xi Fa Cai! :)
Update: Picasa Photo Gallery (under the Browse-It link) contains the photos the members took during our earlier photography sessions. The members learnt about shooting the three photo modes: macro, portrait and landscape.
Portrait | Landscape | Macro
The P5s and P6s were introduced to special lenses like the macro lens (for closeups), 'aperture' lens (for potraits) and fisheye lens (for landscape) and learning how to adjust the aperture and shutter speed of the SLR cameras.
The P3s and P4s were introduced to the AV mode (changing the aperture settings).

We Won! -- Roving Eye Voter's Choice
The school has won the Voters Choice Award again after being the winner in 2008. Although we did not manage to defend the Judges Award, it is still a major achievement to be shortlisted for the final 6 videos. Congratulations to our five Infocomm members.
And big thanks to all those who have voted and used multiple email accounts from your families to friends to make sure we get this award. This is not only an achievement for the participants, but also for Infocomm Club and Yew Tee Primary School.
